Evan Mathis G (Foot) Questionable Game-time Decision
JJ Nelson WR (Shoulder) Questionable Game-time Decision
Analysis: The Cards Face the a pretty healthy Bucs team this week. Evan Mathis would be a tough injury along the front line and would affect the Cards running game. Arizona’s Defense is a little banged up as well potentially losing Robert Nkemdiche, arguably their best pass rusher, who is listed as Uncertain and Frostee Rucker, listed as Week to week, up front.
Julio Jones WR (Ankle) Questionable Will Play
Devonta Freeman RB (Quad) Questionable Likely to play
Analysis: The Falcons are looking good to go headed to Oakland. They will likely have all their starters. I like Tevin Coleman to Devonta Freeman. Keep an eye on Mohammed Sanu as he was listed on the injury report early in the week.
Breshad Perriman WR (Calf) Questionable Will play
Analysis: The Ravens have an interdivision match up with the Browns this week and look mostly healthy. They have lost Ben Watson for the season, and will be without Rookie RB Kenneth Dixon until at least week 4 or 5. The only player on their report with Fantasy impact is Perriman. He got dinged up in practice (calf), but says he will be ready to go this week.
Jonathan Stewart RB (ankle) Questionable Likely will play
Analysis: The Panthers host the surprise of Week 1, the Niners. Stewart is their only injury with any fantasy impact. Look for him to play and put up pretty decent numbers.
Kyle Long G (Shoulder) Questionable Will Play
Analysis: Bears host the Eagles this week. Kyle Long played last week with the same injury and looked effective. Look for the Bears to be business as usual this week.
Tyler Eifert TE (ankle) Out Out
Analysis: Eifert may potentially return in Week 4. Without him the Bengals looked pretty explosive in week 1 against the Jets. They travel to Pittsburgh this week to face a bit stiffer challenge. The Bengals Defense will be tested especially without Vontaze Burfict. Darqueze Dennard is likely to play but was limited in practice this week with an ankle injury.
Robert Griffin III QB (shoulder) Out Out indefinitely
Josh Gordon WR (Suspended) Week 5 return
Analysis: Josh McCown gets the start in lieu of the RGIII injury. That give Gary Barnidge a bump going into a matchup with the Ravens this week, but I’m not counting on any Browns this week until I see the Browns new look offense.
Tony Romo QB (Back) Out Possible week 8 return
Darren McFadden RB (Elbow) Questionable PUP possible week 7 return
Analysis: The Cowboys are going to Washington this week and showcase their two rookie stars again. Look for rookie running back Zeke Elliot to have a busy fantasy day against a Redskins D that allowed the Steelers DeAngelo Williams to run wild against them on Monday.
Demaryius Thomas WR (hip) Questionable Game-time decision
Cody Latimer WR (knee) Questionable Game-time Decision
Bennie Fowler WR (Elbow) Out Out
Analysis: There is a trend to the Broncos Fantasy injury report. Their WR corps was a team strength at the beginning of the season. Now they are pretty banged up. The good news is the Colts are coming to town with an atrocious defense. Look for Emmanuel Sander and CJ Anderson to have big days in Denver. My sleeper pick of the week is Trevor Siemian, who could be in for a big day even with a depleted WR corps.
Analysis: The Lions are very healthy from a Fantasy standpoint headed into their clash with the Titans this week. Look for more Jim Bob Cooter magic for the Lions Offense against an average Titans Defense in Detroit.
Green Bay Packers
Sam Shields CB (Concussion) Doubtful Week to week (likely out)
Analysis: The Pack travel to Minnesota to face a stout Vikings Defense this week. Look for average fantasy days for everyone. This is a game for the Kickers.
Duane Brown T (Quad) Doubtful Week to week
Brian Cushing LB (Knee) Doubtful Week to week
Analysis: The Chiefs come to Houston this week fresh off a comeback win against San Diego. The Texans are looking rough along the O line, but look to be fit in the fantasy positions.
T.Y. Hilton WR (Knee) Questionable Likely to play
Vontae Davis CB (ankle) Out Out
Jack Mewhort G (knee) Questionable Likely to play
Analysis: The Colts D has too many injuries to mention. They travel to Denver this week for a matchup with the Super Bowl Champs. The Colts have found success against the Broncos recently winning 7 of the last 8 meetings. However, the Colts do not have the firepower in this matchup. Look for the Broncos to dominate.
Julius Thomas TE (Ankle) Questionable Will play
Chris Ivory RB (Illness) Out Day to Day
Prince Amukamara DB (Hamstring) Out Week to Week
Jalen Ramsey DB (Ankle) Questionable Likely to play
Analysis: The Jags injury report is similar to last week. Julius Thomas will play through an ankle. Chris Ivory is out with an illness that had him hospitalized last week. Look for the Jags to have similar fantasy stats to last week as they travel to San Diego this week.
Kansas City Chiefs
Jamaal Charles RB (Knee) Questionable Out
Spencer Ware RB (Toe) Questionable Will play
Analysis: Look for Spencer Ware to have another big fantasy day Houston. Andy Reid loves getting the running backs involved in the passing game. With Jamaal Charles sidelined again Ware looks to be the beneficiary.
Los Angeles Rams
Analysis: The only thing injured with the Rams from a fantasy standpoint is their pride. The Rams looked downright awful last week against the Forty Niners. Their lives do not get any easier this week as the Seahawks come to LA for Rams home opener.
Jordan Cameron TE (Thigh) Questionable Likely to play
Arian Foster RB (Hamstring) Questionable Likely to play
Devante Parker WR (Hamstring) Questionable Likely to play
Analysis: The Dolphins should have their full complement of weapons for this week in New England. The Patriots defense looked good in week 1 against Cardinals and even though the Dolphins have their full arsenal available they still have an uphill battle ahead of them.
Teddy Bridgewater QB (Knee) Out Out
Jerick McKinnon RB (Foot) Questionable Will play
Analysis: Sam Bradford will be taking the helm of the Viking attack this week. Look for Adrian Peterson to get a bounce back game this week and for the Vikings Passing game to be a bit conservative.
New England Patriots
Rob Gronkowski TE (Hamstring) Questionable Out
Chris Hogan WR (Shoulder) Questionable Likely will play
Nate Solder T (Hamstring) Questionable Likely will play
Dont’a Hightower LB (Knee) Doubtful Out
Analysis: The Pats are becoming more and more optimistic about a Gronk return, but in Week 3. The signing of Martellus Bennett in the offseason has afforded them a bit more flexibility with the return of their superstar TE. For Gronk owners, it looks like you will have to wait another week.
New Orleans Saints
Analysis: From a Fantasy standpoint the Saints are full go for their visit to Metlife stadium this week. Although, they will be without arguably their best corner Delvin Breaux. Look for lots of fireworks in this matchup with Vegas setting an over under line near 100.
New York Giants
Jason Pierre- Paul DL (Shoulder) Questionable Game-time decision
Analysis: The Giants are rolling and looked to have picked up right where they left off at the end of last season. The Saints are coming to New York this week and there should be Fantasy points a plenty in this match up.
Analysis: The Raiders look good early. They have limited injuries from a fantasy standpoint and have the Falcons coming all the way across the country for their matchup on Sunday. The youth on this squad is growing up before our eyes. Look for them to have a big day on offense against the Falcons defense.
Zach Ertz TE (Ribs) Out Out
Analysis: The Carson Wentz era started with a bang last week. Ertz is out this week, but Celek is a good replacement. The Bears are more formidable on Defense so look for the Eagles to come back down to earth a bit this week.
Markus Wheaton WR (Shoulder) Questionable Game-time decision
DeAngelo Williams RB (Undisclosed) Questionable Likely will play
Ryan Shazier LB (Knee) Questionable Game-time decision
Cam Heyward DL (Ankle) Questionable Likely will play
Analysis: The Steelers looked like Fantasy Dynamos last week against the Redskins. Eli Rogers looked more than capable of replacing Markus Wheaton and could do so again this week if Wheaton can’t go. Keep an eye on Wheaton and play your Steelers this week against the Bengals.
San Diego Chargers
Keenan Allen WR (Knee) Out Out for the Season
Joey Bosa DL (Hamstring) Out Out Week to Week
Analysis: The Chargers really struggled after Allen went down in the second quarter against the Chiefs. Rivers said last week he expects Tyrell Williams to step up in lieu of losing their star receiver for the year. May I suggest you look for Rookie Hunter Henry to step up moving forward. Especially, when the Chargers get into the red zone.
Russell Wilson QB (Ankle) Questionable Will play
Analysis: The Seahawks doctors are surprised at how quickly Wilson’s ankle is healing in rehab this week. Look for them to get an added boost getting RB Thomas Rawls back in the starting lineup this week as the Seahawks go to LA to face the lowly Rams. Side note: Doug Baldwin should be in for a nice game this week (see Jeremy Kerley last week).
San Francisco 49ers
Bruce Ellington WR (hamstring) Out Out for the Season
Analysis: The 49ers looked surprising in Chip Kelly’s offense to start the season against the Rams. This week the 49ers travel across the country to play Carolina and their stiff defense. This looks like a game for kickers to me.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Analysis: Famous Jameis was rolling in Week 1 against the Atlanta Falcons. This week he takes the Buccaneers aerial attack to Arizona to face the Cardinals. This game should be a good one from a Fantasy perspective. Look for lots of points in this one.
Kendall Wright WR (Hamstring) Questionable Out
Analysis: The Titans go to Detroit and look to get their offense back on track after struggling with turnovers last week against Minnesota. Look for good games from the usual suspects, especially Demarco Murray, who was prematurely wrote off after the Titans drafted Heisman winner Derrick Henry.
Josh Doctson WR (Achilles) Questionable Will play
Analysis: The Redskins struggled last week at home against the Steelers and did not have the firepower to stay in the game. This week The Boys come to town in an interdivision rivalry that will make any NFL fan’s mouth water. Look for Washington to have a bounce back game this week.
